Last Wednesday (6/11/14), CityCop passed through Seattle for their second time ever and brought all of their energy and shoeless feet to the Lounge stage at El Corazon. CityCop brings influences of late 90’s emo and skramz bands and tosses it in a blender with At The Drive In, Modest Mouse, Hiatus Kaiyote and then tosses the electric guitar right out the window in exchange for an acoustic. The original shock of hearing a jumping and jangling acoustic guitar, played with such speed over the otherwise recognizable screamo style really caught me off guard when I first checked them out on bandcamp.
When we played Seattle on our last tour we did an interview with e Fringe Music. We then partied with the interviewer. Check it out here!
But they can’t accept the fact, that everyone’s not like them that everybody can express themselves in a way that they can’t, can we learn to coexist? In a place where all the cliques have their own thoughts, their own opinions being put in their heads. Well I will take a stand, I will face everybody with a chance Of not being accepted, we need to accept this shit has to change, when you lose the meaning of what you love and make it everything that you hate, it begins, to lose its fun. Have you lost all of your heart and reason?
